Software Asset Management Analyst Senior

Description

We are looking for a talented Software Asset Management Analyst Senior to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology for our Corporate Business Segment in Columbus, IN / remote home office within the United States.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Perform usage, trend and basic financial analysis for license purchasing decisions, budgeting and forecasting

  • Create and/or manage SAM records (license, purchase, contract) in FlexNet Manager Suite to track license consumption and ensure license compliance

  • Manage license compliance via internal audits and other measures. When necessary, assist with vendor audit defense.

  • Assist in creating and maintaining the software budget and subsequent forecasting.

  • Create, refine and document SAM team policies and procedures

  • May coach and mentor less experienced SAM analysts.

  • Various projects as assigned

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Information Technology, Business or a related subject required.

  • 3 years of relevant work experience required.

  • Extensive knowledge/experience of software licensing types/models from vendors such as Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, IBM, VMWare, Autodesk, PTC, Mathworks, National Instruments, etc. Vendor management experience.

  • Strong analytical skills for usage trend and basic financial analysis for budgeting, forecasting, costing, and purchasing decisions.

  • Experience with Flexera's FlexNet Manager Suite (FNMS) for software asset management.

  • Moderate to Advanced experience using MS Excel and Power BI. SQL server query experience is a plus.

  • Fundamental understanding of purchasing processes and procedures. Purchasing experience in Ariba a plus but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
