Sr. Software Engineer - Microservice & API Management Developer

Description

We are looking for a talented Sr. Software Engineer - Microservice & API Management Developer to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology for our Corporate Business Segment in Columbus, Indiana.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Implementations of micro-service integration, packaging, build automation and deployment

• Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.

• Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle; Document and demonstrate solutions; Develops flow charts, layouts, and documentation

• Determine feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions; Understand business needs and know how to create the tools to manage them. Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming

• Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and issues while protecting IT assets by keeping information confidential; Improve applications by conducting systems analysis recommending changes in policies and procedures

• Provide oversight and foster Built-In Quality and Team and Technical Agility; Adopt new mindsets and habits in how people approach their work while supporting decentralized decision making.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• College, university, or equivalent degree in computer science, engineering or related subject, or relevant experience equivalent. Masters in relevant area or Bachelor’s plus a certification is HIGHLY preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Microservice & API Management and development

• Proven technical skills in API and Microservices development

• Experience as a Java Developer with proven hands-on Software Development experience.

• Experience with JSE/JEE, Java based Micro-services framework and API Management, REST APIs, SQL, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, GWT, etc.

• Experience in API and Integration for delivering large and complex API solutions with MuleSoft

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
